Who runs Synclip

Synclip is run by Stephen McInerney in Ireland. You can reach Synclip at support@synclip.io. By creating a clipboard you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy.

Your clipboard

What's yours

What you put in Synclip stays yours. You let Synclip store it, send it to your devices, sort it with its AI (Google's Gemini, described in the privacy policy) and show it to anyone you give a share link to. That's all Synclip does with it.

What you can't do

Don't store, send or share through Synclip:

And don't use Synclip to host files for the public, to get around its limits (for example with several clipboards or automated sign-ups), or to attack or overload it.

Share links

A share link shows a clip to anyone who has the link until it expires (an hour, a day or a week). Each file can be downloaded a limited number of times. On the Free plan you can share text and links; sharing files needs Plus. Anyone who opens a link can report it.

What Synclip does about misuse

Reporting something

Use Report this link at the bottom of any share page, or write to support@synclip.io with the link. In Ireland, child sexual abuse material can also be reported to hotline.ie.

Plans

Unused clipboards

A Free clipboard that nobody has used for 90 days is deleted, with everything in it. Synclip emails you a week before. Using it from any device, even just opening it, keeps it.

Keeping things running

Synclip is looked after carefully, but it is run by one person and can't promise it will never be down or never lose anything. Keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose. If Synclip ever closes, you'll get at least 30 days' notice by email to take your things out.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer law.

Leaving

You can delete your clipboard at any time in Settings. It erases every clip, file, share link and sign-in at once.

Changes and the law

If these terms change, the date at the top will change with them, and a change that matters will also be shown in the app. These terms are governed by Irish law. If you live elsewhere in the EU, you can still rely on your own country's consumer law and courts.
